Short Take: 3Dfx raises $11.6 million

3Dfx Interactive announced it has raised an additional $11.6 million in its third round of funding. Investors include Norwest Venture Capital, Chase Ventures, U.S. Venture Partners, and Venrock Associates. "These funds will support our effort of extending our 3D technology beyond the game enthusiast arena and into the consumer space," said the company chairman.
