Plasmon Data, developer of optical storage technology, announced an addition to its family of Cheetah Series Jukeboxes, the M32J-695-2. The new M32 stores up to 32 optical cartridges, each with 2.6GB, for a total capacity of 83.2GB. The M32 has a import/export element which allows online disk loading and unloading. It works with Windows NT, NetWare, OS/2, and most Unix environments. This jukebox retails for $12,950, or 15.6 cents per megabyte.
