Symbios Logic announced a new family of PCI to SCSI adapter boards. The SYM22801 and SYM22802 adapter boards increase connectivity and performance with one PCI slot. They allow transfer rates up to 80MB/sec, doubling the rate of single-channel SCSI boards. They are compatible with PCI 2.1, and feature HCDI connectors that allow two external connectors on one adapter. The SYM22802 supports wide SCSI buses, and the SYM22801 supports wide and narrow SCSI buses.
