Seagate renames software unit

Seagate Software, the software arm of one of the computer industry's leading hard drive manufacturers, is changing its name to Crystal Decisions. The company is part of Seagate Technology, which recently went private in a takeover funded by investment group Silver Lake Partners and Seagate executives.
