Reddit helps make the best gift ever for a new mom
New dad Ernst Berlin wanted to give his wife Agnes the perfect present for her first post-baby birthday, so he turned to Reddit. The results are extraordinary.
Ernst Berlin was looking for the perfect birthday present to give his wife Agnes for her first birthday since she gave birth to the couple's son, Jacob. Ernst turned to a subreddit called redditgetsdrawn, where he commissioned over 20 artists to create original pieces of art using images of Ernst, Agnes and 8-month-old Jacob.
Ernst gave Reddit a series of 38 images to choose from, and let the artists of redditgetsdrawn pick the ones that stood out to them. The artists were free to re-create the images in their own artistic style, resulting in a wide variety of artwork for Ernst's gift.
Last week, on Agnes' birthday, Ernst sent his wife off to a day at the spa, and got to work framing and hanging up the series of images on their bedroom wall. Ernst set up a camera in their bedroom to capture the big reveal, and Agnes was completely blown away by what can only be described as one of the best presents for a new mom ever. Suffice it to say, she was crying and almost speechless and throughout. Gentlemen, the bar for the perfect post-baby birthday gift has been raised, and it'll be very hard to top or even match this one.
