Razer mocks Apple MacBook Pro with crude 'humor'

Technically Incorrect: The gaming computer company decides that laughing at Apple's MacBook Pro involves, oh, an apparent fellatio joke.

It must have seemed a good idea at the time.

Perhaps it still does.

No, I'm not talking about the new MacBook Pro . I'm talking about Razer 's tweet about the MacBook Pro.

The gaming computer company thought it amusing to mock the fact that Apple 's newest MacBook doesn't have an SD Card slot.

On Tuesday, it emitted a tweet that read: "You call yourself Pro? S my D." This was accompanied by a picture of a Razer Blade Pro that does have an SD slot.

But back to the thinly veiled code here. "S my D" is unlikely to mean Shine my Dr. Martens or Shape my Destiny. I also don't think it means Smack my Duodenum or Shiver my Dilemmas.

I fear you've immediately grasped what Razer is trying to say. And you'll either find it amusing or a sad, pathetic attempt at ribald joshing by silly little boys who think crude fellatio comments are titillating.

Razer didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. Neither did Apple.

However, on Twitter , Razer insisted that its tweet was "more like storage language :) We're not looking to offend -- just proud of our SD card slot, which is becoming increasingly rare."

I'm not looking to offend, but I wonder if Razer has considered what, say, its female customers might think of its storage language. Might they store up a little offense when it comes to, say, buying a gaming laptop? Might they think of Razer and decide they're not going to commit any money to a bunch of adolescent dolts?

Still, the Razer tweet garnered more than 4,800 likes. Which may show nothing more than that Twitter is full of fascinating, dunderheaded people.
