Software firm Computer Associates International introduced on Tuesday an application aimed at managing the security of large networks and a tool for finding the vulnerabilities of a corporation's computer systems. The products are the latest releases in the company's eTrust line of security software.

CA's eTrust Security Command Center gathers information from CA's own products as well as those of Check Point Software, Cisco Systems, IBM, Internet Security Systems, McAfee, Microsoft and others. The application is designed to help administrators manage, correlate and prioritize security-related events. The eTrust Vulnerability Manager takes stock of all network devices and checks them against known vulnerabilities. Computer Associates announced both products at CA World in Las Vegas.
