Oracle online NC store ready
Oracle division Network Computer Incorporated will launch its NC Online Store tomorrow to sell products online.
Network Computer Incorporated (NCI), the Oracle (ORCL) division that creates software for network computers, tomorrow will launch its NC Online Store to sell products online.
The store will sell NCI's "network-in-a-box" server software and even NCI memorabilia such as sweatshirts and caps. But the site initially will not sell network computers, although the previous iteration of the site mentions NCs from RCA, Digital Equipment, Uniden.
The NC store will run on Oracle's Internet Commerce Server software, and Oracle representatives said creating the store took about a month.
IC Verify, a payment processor that is moving aggressively onto the Internet, will handle credit card payments for the NC store.
