Open-source rival to Exchange released
The Open-Xchange Server software is released for download.
Netline Internet Service, an Olpe, Germany-based company that develops a competitor to Microsoft's Exchange e-mail and collaboration server software, on Monday fulfilled a promise to release its product as open-source software. The Open-Xchange Server software is available on the company's Web site.
The Open-Xchange product, released under the General Public License (GPL), already is used as part of Novell's SuSE Linux Openexchange Server software.
