ANAHEIM, California--CMS Enhancements has released a recordable CD-ROM system that lets home PC users create their own 650MB disks or simply store data more easily.

At $1,295, the new system isn't cheap. Dubbed CDR-22PE, the system comes with a player, CD creation software, and MediaWrangler.

Using the system, developers can create CDs with audio, video, and text data. Incat-Easy CD Pro for Windows 3.1 allows users to write to the CD. As tools become cheaper and easier to use, interest in do-it-yourself multimedia is growing quickly, according to industry analysts.
