Micron wraps up Lexar purchase

Memory chip maker Micron Technology on Wednesday said it completed its $850 million purchase of memory card maker Lexar Media, a deal that had faced opposition by billionaire investor Carl Icahn and some large shareholders.

The acquisition of Lexar helps Micron expand beyond its core PC business into consumer products such as digital cameras and music players.
