E-business software integrators Mercator and Versata said Thursday they are teaming to combine and sell Versata's Interaction Server and Mercator's Integration Broker software. The combined product will allow companies to link business processes across varied applications and systems, a necessity for those wanting to take part in online business-to-business transactions. The product will also let people define, manage and integrate transactions and other business information. The combined product is expected to be available in the fourth quarter of this year.
