LSI Logic will acquire the assets of American Megatrends RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) business and its 200 employees, including 120 hardware and software engineers in Fremont, Calif.; Norcross, Ga., and other locations. Milpitas, Calif.-based LSI will also acquire the MegaRAID software intellectual property and host adapter board product family. These boards support Fibre Channel, SCSI and other storage input/output standards. The deal is set to close by the end of June, LSI said Tuesday.
