The Open Source Development Labs has named Mike Temple its first chief financial officer, the Linux development consortium said Monday. Temple most recently was an executive vice president at Bioject Medical Technologies, which develops needle-free drug injection technology.

OSDL laid off some staff in May as part of a shift to new priorities, including the establishment of a European office. In July, the lab named Claude Beullens to lead that office. Beullens has worked at Apollo Computer and Hewlett-Packard.
