ItemField counts up $4 million

ItemField announced Wednesday it closed a $4 million first round of funding. Accel Partners, Gemini Israel Funds and Evergreen Partners contributed to the round. New York-based ItemField develops software that allows any data format, such as structured or proprietary unstructured formats, to be transformed using XML (Extensible Markup Language) from PCs to mainframes, with no programming required.
