Financial software and services company Intuit announced it will host its first ever developers conference in November. The conference will focus on creating applications tied to the company's QuickBooks accounting software, using the QuickBooks software development kit Intuit released late last year. The move was part of Intuit's new strategy to focus on small-business customers, partly by promoting development of specialty software products tied to Intuit's core products.

The Intuit Developer Conference will run Nov. 13 and 14 in Burlingame, Calif., with speakers including eBay founder Pierre Omidyar and Intuit founder Scott Cook. Details and online registration are available at Inuit's Web site.
