Intuit inks content deal with Yahoo

Intuit will be the exclusive provider of tax preparation services and content at Yahoo Finance's Tax Center, the two companies said Tuesday. The companies did not give financial details of the multiyear deal. Intuit will offer TurboTax for the Web on Yahoo, allowing people to file their federal and state taxes online. Intuit has seen strong growth for the online version of its tax software; its customer base grew 71 percent in fiscal 2001, with 2.4 million taxpayers using the service to complete their returns. Yahoo had worked with tax preparation giant H&R Block in previous years.
