Infor names Charles Phillips CEO

Phillips, who recently left Oracle as co-president to make way for Mark Hurd, takes the helm at the enterprise planning software company.

Charles Phillips, who recently left Oracle as co-president to make way for Mark Hurd, will become chief executive of Infor, which makes enterprise planning software for mid-sized companies.

In a statement, Infor said Phillips will be CEO and a member of the board. Current CEO Jim Schaper will remain chairman.

At Oracle, Phillips was on board as the company acquired a bevy of companies ranging from BEA Systems to Siebel Systems.
