IBM to launch new desktop PCs

IBM announced new NetVista desktop PCs. The NetVista A21 systems will start at $499 with 1GHz Pentium III processors, 64MB of system memory, a 20GB hard drive and a CD-ROM drive. The hardware giant will also open up services traditionally available to only large businesses--such as automated data protection and network management tools--to small- and medium-sized businesses.
