HyPerformix raises $12 million

Software company HyPerformix has raised $12 million in a second round of funding led by first-time investors Morgan Stanley and M/C Venture Partners. The Austin-Texas based company makes enterprise software to assess and optimize performance of enterprise applications and IT infrastructures.

The company, which has raised about $14 million to date, plans to use the funds to expand sales and marketing and continue investment in research and development. Among the company's customers are Charles Schwab, Credit Suisse First Boston and Hitachi.
