If, like a lot of fans (including me), you thought the second-to-last movie in the "Hunger Games" series lacked a little action, the just-released trailer for "Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" should be heartening.
The trailer starts out sedately enough, with heroine Katniss Everdeen, played of course by Jennifer Lawrence, saying, "Nothing good is safe while Snow's alive ... and I can't make another speech about it." Soon however she's rallying the people. "Tonight, turn your weapons to the Capitol," she commands -- and the action begins.
Then we get explosions, a giant wall of black ooze that threatens to engulf the rebels and a sinking street tile hinting that the city itself might be just as booby-trapped as one of the fighting arenas Katniss survived. In fact, her fellow combatant Finnick even ends the sequence by saying, "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 76th Hunger Games."
There are also a few shots showing that Peeta will emerge from his Capitol-induced zombie-like state and a couple of delicious clips of Donald Sutherland's now iconic President Snow seeming as smug as ever.
All in all, it looks like "Mockingjay Part 2" should do the book justice -- as all the films have in my opinion -- and wrap up the four-movie sequence in fine style.
