Hotwire launches hotel service

Hotwire, the online travel site backed by United Airlines and American Airlines, introduced a new service to allow customers to book hotel rooms in 22 U.S. cities. Similar to its sales of plane tickets, the new hotel booking service promises deep discounts but requires customers to agree to a price before finding out the name or location of the hotel where they will be staying.
