Digg readers were debating early on Monday whether there was an outage at Google over the weekend or not, but Google says "no." "This appears to be a rumor," a Google spokesman wrote in an e-mail. "Google services are and have been running."

Using a headline of "All Google Servers Have Crashed!" a Digg contributor wrote: "Even Digg has been slowed down because of this. The entire Google army has now been reduced to around 3 blades, my friend inside Google says. They are working like hell to fix the issues. For now they recommend all Webmasters to disable adsense to lessen the strain." While some of the reader comments confirm problems, other Digg respondents reported that they had no problem accessing Google sites.
