EnvoyWorldWide gets $8 million

EnvoyWorldWide, a provider of application messaging to corporations, has landed an $8 million second round. Envoy's software allows companies to blast messages to a number of people at once, ranging from employees to customers, via wired or wireless devices. Longworth Venture Partners led the round and will receive a seat on Envoy's board. Previous investors Battery Ventures and Sofinnova Partners also contributed to the round. The Billerica, Mass.-based company has raised a total of $12 million. See complete list.
