eBay to move aircraft, boating listings

eBay plans to shuffle some of its listing categories around next week, moving aircraft, boats and related items from its main eBay.com site to eBay Motors, its automotive auction site. Following the move, eBay will begin charging the same fees for aircraft and boat auctions that it does for passenger vehicles, the company said in a posting on its announcements board this week. eBay upped its fees in January. The company now charges sellers $40 to list a vehicle and $40 when they sell a vehicle through the site; previously, the company charged $25 for each fee. When eBay launched eBay Motors in April 2000, it initially included aircraft- and boating-related listings on the site. But eBay moved the listings back on to its main site one month later, after complaints from sellers.
