Dell completes layoffs

Dell Computer laid off 350 more people this week, completing its plan to reduce its work force by 1,700, a company representative confirmed. The majority of employees affected by the latest reduction were told in February, when the job cuts were announced. Although this week's cuts were part of the overall layoff plan, Dell had hoped that an earlier round of about 1,350 job cuts would be sufficient, sources close to the company said. Further reductions aren't anticipated, said the representative.
