Daenerys and dragon witch Maleficent battle it out in rap showdown
It's villain Maleficent vs. Daenerys the khaleesi in this Princess Rap Battle that makes us long for a "Sleeping Beauty"-"Game of Thrones" crossover series.
We've seen Princess Leia and Galadriel fight with words. Witnessed Cinderella smack down Belle in a rhyming showdown. So it was only a matter of time before the Mother of Dragons came face to face with a dragon witch in Whitney Avalon's latest Princess Rap Battle video.
"Game of Thrones" heroine Daenerys Targaryen (played by Yvonne Strahovski from "Chuck) challenges "Sleeping Beauty" villain Maleficent (played by Whitney Avalon) in a head-to-head rap battle complete with a dragon and an animated fight sequence.
In "Maleficent vs. Daenerys: Princess Rap Battle," posted Wednesday, we see the ultimate lyrical duel between the Mother of Dragons and a witch who can turn into a dragon.
Since no rappers engage in a lyrical duel without backup, Grey Worm and Missandei flank Daenerys, while Maleficent has Diaval at her side.
The singing insult-fest hits hard with Maleficent mocking Daenerys' family's bad luck. ("A curse would be useless. You already suck.") But never one to back down from a fight, Daenerys returns with a jab about Maleficent's magic being destroyed with a kiss.
Even when Maleficent transports them both to an animated land so she can shapeshift into a fire-breathing dragon, Daenerys reminds the "fairy tale bully" that no flames can shut down her righteous raps.
"I'm the Mother of Dragons, you can't burn me!
The best don't rest, it's my destiny
So send me back home, I've an empire to build or
You'll scream when you die like the last witch I killed."
