Buzz Out Loud 1369: If it Biebs, it leads (podcast)

Twitter's top trending topics of 2010 sadly didn't include #mollyontopgear, but it's kind of a plus that Justin Bieber was only around No. 8. Also today, the 4Chan kids go crazy on Gawker and you know what? Innocent people are being caught in this hacker-gang crossfire, and it's frankly just not all that funny anymore. (If, um, it ever was.) Also, could Verizon make my universal data plan dreams come true? --Molly

Molly Wood Former Executive Editor
Molly Wood was an executive editor at CNET, author of the Molly Rants blog, and host of the tech show, Always On. When she's not enraging fanboys of all stripes, she can be found offering tech opinions on CBS and elsewhere, and offering opinions on everything else to anyone who will listen.

Hey Buzz Crew,

While listening to your podcast highlighting the possible horrors of tiered broadband, I thought of two other services that use an “”unknown”" amount of data, that when capped, would definitely limit the connected customer experience. I wonder how Microsoft feels about this? I have no clue how much data my Xbox live service uses for games, but I would bet that the usage has been increasing consistently as more and more games look for the console to be ‘always connected’. Also, along the lines of game services, what would OnLive do if caps were in place? Fail, that’s what.

Anyways, loving the new direction (and sound effects).

Dear Molly and BOLers,
You Know I waited a week for your one liner that works.
Well I went out Thursday night and met a beautiful girl and opened with,” How much ice can a polar bear eat? “”. I forgot what B T said but I painted stripe in my hair and and just broke out in inappropriate song every couple of minutes.
Needless to say, we were married Friday and I now have a wife, 2 kids and there’s” a bun in the oven “”!
We are calling that “Bun”,Molly, what ever it turns out to be!

Love the show
