In response to the report written by Ed Frauenheim, "Shorter hours in software":
I wish journalists were writing articles like this 15 years ago. I used to tell people that after six hours of programming, you start going in circles. Your brain runs out of gas. All I would get is dirty looks and negative reflections on my manhood.
I watched people bring long hours on themselves by screwing off in the early and middle stages of projects and then sleeping in their office in the last month--and doing crappy work because they were brain dead.
Smart people are really dumb sometimes.
