AP satellite tool zooms in on New Orleans
Company is offering online satellite images of the city and plans to update them as they become available.
The Associated Press is offering recent online satellite images of New Orleans that let viewers zoom in on streets and neighborhoods damaged by Katrina, the company said Friday.
The high-resolution images, at 2.4 meters per pixel, are supplied by a geospacial data company called DigitalGlobe. The initial images were taken Wednesday morning. The news service said it will update them as new images become available.
