Antivirus industry critic VMyths put on the block

The investor behind VMyths.com has put the Web site--a forum for antivirus industry critic Rob Rosenberger--on the block, attempting to sell the site for $200,000 on eBay.

In a post on his site, Rosenberger confirmed the auction and said that he has no control over the fate of the site. Last year, a slipup on antivirus firm Symantec's Web site revealed that VMyth's investor--Rhode Island Soft Systems--had sent an offer to Symantec proposing that the company buy the site.

There were no bids for the site as of Thursday afternoon.
