A VR walk through a living, breathing van Gogh painting (Tomorrow Daily 180)
On today's show, Ashley and Khail check out an app attempting to bring van Gogh's "The Night Cafe" to life via VR, discuss Bill Nye's LightSail crowdfunding campaign, and debate a toothbrush that allegedly doesn't require toothpaste.
We're back today after yesterday's absence, and we've got some great stories. Bill Nye is back in the news, using Kickstarter to help finish funding The Planetary Society's LightSail project, and we're gonna tell you all about it. There's also a fabulous new VR application that places users right in the middle of a living van Gogh painting, which is both innovative and beautiful. Plus, we check out a toothbrush that (supposedly) doesn't require toothpaste.
You'll have to excuse us for being a little bit skeptical about that toothbrush. It seems really sketchy, only brushing your teeth once a day and without any toothpaste. But the creators claim there's nanotechnology in the bristles, so we guess time (and cavities) will tell?
