3ware counts up $26 million

3ware announced Tuesday it raised $26 million in a restart round, led by U.S. Venture Partners. Other investors included New Enterprise Associates, VantagePoint Venture Partners and Selby Venture Partners. The Mountain View, Calif.-based company has raised a total of five funding rounds and approximately $81 million, including this latest restart round that is based on its new business strategy. 3ware develops network packet switching for storage controllers. The technology is aimed at eliminating bottlenecks in traditional storage designs.
