Google Stadia adds 10 more games to its launch lineup
And there are some pretty good ones on the new list.
Google Stadia is literally one day from its Nov. 19 launch and, after initially saying it would launch with 12 titles available for streaming, Google has announced that it's nearly doubled that number for its new cloud-gaming platform.
There will now be 22 games available to play on launch.
The initial 12 announced were...
- Assassin's Creed Odyssey
- Destiny 2
- Gylt
- Just Dance 2020
- Kine
- Mortal Kombat 11
- Red Dead Redemption 2
- Rise of the Tomb Raider
- Shadow of the Tomb Raider
- Samurai Shodown
- Thumper
- Tomb Raider
But now you'll also be able to play...
- Attack on Titan: Final Battle 2
- Farming Simulator 2019
- Final Fantasy XV
- Football Manager 2020
- Grid 2019
- Metro Exodus
- NBA 2K20
- Rage 2
- Trials Rising
- Wolfenstein: Youngblood
That's a big leap. The list still feels sparse compared with what's available on any console out there.
In a reply to Sean Hollister from The Verge Sunday, Google Stadia boss Phil Harrison explained that some of Stadia's partners were able to quickly get the "last few kinks ironed out and through testing."
Either way, more games is a good thing. Also, Samurai Showdown is being added alongside Destiny 2 as a game available for free on the platform.
