Video games with night vision goggles, what next?

Upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 "Prestige Edition" will come with a full working version of night vision goggles.

I recently finished David Morrell's "Scavenger," about a deadly hide-and-seek taking place within the labryrinthine innards of a pitch-black hotel. Not surprisingly, night vision goggles show up in this dark (literally and figuratively) thriller, and it's a premise that seems tailor-made for video-dom. Until someone picks up the idea, the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 "Prestige Edition" is one video title that comes packed with a full working version.

While it's questionable how this will actually add to the immersive gameplay since there's no discernable use for the eyewear, gamers who like to be "in the role" will probably fork out the lucre anyway--reportedly about $149.99, which is cheap given the NVGs. Plus, one can be pretty sure they'll find some other, cough, creative use for the goggles eventually.
