So, you thought the Serial podcast was just an investigation into whether Adnan Syed actually killed his former girlfriend Hae Min Lee, did you? While that may be mostly true, Serial is also a tantalizing love story, at least in this parody movie trailer.

The video was created by comedian Honora Talbott, and is composed entirely of dialogue cut from season 1 of the hit Serial podcast. As you can see from the video above, if you splice content from Serial in just the right way, it makes for an interesting and compelling love story that has a real "will they or won't they?" vibe. The video imagines Syed getting released from prison and having a go at a romance with podcast host Sarah Koenig, who doesn't quite know how she feels about this complicated guy.

Will Sarah Koenig fall in love with the intelligent, witty Adnan Syed, who is also a convicted murderer? Or will this romance fizzle out? Check out the video at the top of this post to find out.
