Ever since the partnership between Nokia and Sanyo went south last year, there have been rumors that Sanyo may just sell off or shut down its mobile division. There have been a couple of standout Sanyo handsets in Sprint's stable (like the Sanyo M1), but Sanyo's relatively small market share may push it out earlier than expected. Its only hope may lie in consolidation or collaboration with existing cell phone companies, but that remains to be seen.
