New Flash surpasses 200 million downloads

Software maker Macromedia announced Wednesday that the new version of its Flash animation player has been downloaded more than 200 million times since it became available mid-March. Flash Player 6 was released in conjunction with Flash MX, a set of developer tools Macromedia hopes will become the foundation for more sophisticated delivery of Web services.
