MetaTV rounds up $28 million
Interactive television newbie MetaTV announced Monday it has received $28 million in its second round of funding. Cable giants Comcast and Cox Communications led the round. Sausalito, Calif.-based MetaTV's software allows cable and satellite companies to offer interactive TV and e-commerce. In addition, MetaTV said that Samuel Schwartz, managing director of Comcast Interactive Capital, and Dallas Clement, Cox's senior vice president of strategy and development, have been appointed to its board of directors.
