Apple is bringing Notification Center to OS X Mountain Lion, looking to replace the need for popular notification app, Growl. While developers are able to get a taste of the overall look and feel of the new OS, who's to say those of us without access to Mountain Lion can't as well?

Well, thanks to a creative individual who took it upon himself to create a Mountain Lion Growl style, you can experience the general look of the upcoming Notification Center alert right now.

You can download the Growl style from this Dribbble page. The link to download the ZIP is in the first comment.

After downloading, unzip the archive and double-click on the Growl style. The style will then automatically install. You should see a dialogue similar to that above if it's installed correctly. Click on Yes to configure the alert style if you want to change any settings for it.

By making Mountain Lion your default style, any and all alerts (unless you have set up custom alert styles on an app-by-app basis) will appear as the Mountain Lion style we just installed.

Granted, this isn't anything more than a simple skin for a Growl notification, it looks nice and brings a taste of Mountain Lion to your Mac.
