'13 Reasons Why' renewed for second season by Netflix
It's official. Neflix's popular series about teen suicide will return for a second run in 2018. Warning, there are spoilers in this article.

"13 Reasons Why" executive producer Selena Gomez confirmed big news on Saturday in an Instagram post saying, "Their story isn't over. Season 2 of #13ReasonsWhy is coming."
The cast hasn't yet been confirmed (including Katherine Langford, who plays Hannah Baker, a young high school girl who commits suicide), but the second series is set to consist of 13 more episodes. Check out the teaser for the second season below.
The show follows Hannah Baker after she takes her own life, but not before leaving behind a series of audiotapes explaining why she did it and who she thinks responsible.
Based on the bestselling novel by Jay Asher, the 13-episode adaptation features graphic themes of suicide and other social stigmas including bullying, underage drinking and sexual assault.
Since its release on March 31, 2017, the Netflix hit has stirred controversy on the internet with many parents, teachers and mental health experts claiming the show glorifies suicide in a "dangerous" way, according to CBS News.
"13 Reasons Why's" first season is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
