NASA taps SAP for e-commerce software
SAP said Monday that it has a $22 million deal to provide additional e-business software to NASA. The government space agency bought 6,000 licenses for MySAP.com Financials software in 2000, and the recent agreement calls for the agency to purchase an additional 12,600 licenses through 2007. NASA will use the software for financial purposes, including managing budgets, payroll and outside contracts. The software will be installed first at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., and then in the remaining nine centers around the United States.
