FAQs

A cash reward credit card is a credit card that rewards you for spending money. You typically earn a percentage of what you spent back as a cash reward. With some cards the percentage you earn is higher for certain categories, like travel or restaurants.

Cash back typically has fewer redemption options but is usually always worth 1 cent. Points tend to have more redemption options and the per-point value can vary depending on how points are redeemed.

The simplest way to build credit is to make all of your required credit payments on time, whether it be for a credit card, student loan, auto loan or mortgage. It’s also important to keep your credit utilization low and not apply for multiple credit accounts at once to avoid numerous hard credit checks.
