iRobot Braava 380t

The iRobot Braava 380t is a robotic floor cleaner. It won't vacuum like a Roomba will, but it is capable of automatic, Swiffer-style dusting, along with gentle mopping runs.

Compact size

The Braava 380t is a little guy, just 4 lbs. It's also extremely quiet -- you'll barely hear it as it cleans.

Rear handle

A handle in the rear makes the Braava especially easy to carry.

What's in the box

The Braava comes with a vertical charging dock, a NorthStar navigation accessory, and two separate cleaning heads, each with its own microfiber cloth -- one for dry mopping and one for wet mopping.

Simple controls

The Braava has just three buttons on it: one for dry mopping, one for wet mopping, and a power button.

Cleaning heads

The cleaning heads snap on and off with ease.

Mop head

The mopping head has a built-in water reservoir that'll keep the blue microfiber cloth moist during the cleaning cycle.

NorthStar navigation

The Braava will sync with the battery-powered NorthStar navigation accessory as it cleans. Place the NorthStar in the same room as the Braava, and it'll help the robot find its way around.

Additional NorthStars

For room-to-room cleaning, you'll need to purchase additional NorthStar units, then place one in each room you want the Braava to clean during its run.

Price

The Braava 380t retails for $300 (£260 in the UK) -- a lot less than the Scooba 450, another, more powerful robotic floor washer from iRobot.
