Ecobee SmartCamera
Ecobee/CNET

From video doorbells to pricey professional monitoring systems, there are plenty of ways to keep tabs on the outside of your home but you may have spared little thought for indoor security cameras. Whether there's a particular entryway you want to keep an extra eye on or you just want the comfort of complete home protection, an indoor cam can help you achieve it. And right now you can add Ecobee's SmartCamera to your smart home setup for a bargain $69 via Amazon, a saving of over 30% and a new all-time low for this feature-packed device.

Ecobee, which is well known for its lineup of smart thermostats, also offers home security devices including motion sensors and door and window sensors, plus its own 1080p HD SmartCamera. As well as a high-def picture, the SmartCamera features a 180-degree field of view and the ability to automatically pan and zoom to keep an eye on the action in your home (especially ideal for those with active pets). Night vision and two-way audio are also on board, plus there are some neat software-enabled features like the ability to arm or disarm the camera when people are home or away and smoke alarm alert functionality.

If you're already set up with a DIY security system based on Amazon's Alexa, the Ecobee SmartCamera will fit right in and even has Alexa built-in for hands-free use. Apple's HomeKit is supported too, including HomeKit Secure Video.
