Feast your eyes on the biggest OLED TV yet: LG's all-new 97-inch G2
Speaker 1: Hey guys, get ready for the biggest ed TV yet.
Speaker 1: This is the 97 inch LG G two. Yes, the largest Ole TV on the market. New for 2022. This takes the current largest TV, 88 inches and blows it way up. No pricing on this TV yet. Currently the 83 inch version is five grand. So expect this to be north of 10, maybe [00:00:30] even $20,000, but Hey, who's counting. This is a member of the new 2022 G two series. And that means that it packs a brighter panel than previous OED TVs. LG says this TV is 20% brighter than previous examples. So you're gonna get that extra pop. And of course, O TVs have superb picture quality in general. So it's anchored by deep black levels, superb color, and in our testing, the best picture quality available. Now, of course we haven't tested this G two yet, especially at this massive 97 inch size. [00:01:00] And we probably won't usually review a 65 inch size and then extrapolate that out.
Speaker 1: But if you can afford, it might as well go big. I really think screen size is the best thing to pay for extra when you're buying a new TV. And of course, for a lot of people, 77, 83 inches, large enough, but Hey, if you got the money you got the wall space here is 97 inch in all glory. I mean, it really does look amazing. Uh, again, I haven't tested it with meters and that sort of thing. This is L G's demo footage running [00:01:30] on here, but it just really has those deep black levels. It has that massive, massive screen size. So even when you're up close to it further away, it's got 4k resolution, not eight K. So a again, it doesn't have those extra pixels of eight K, but honestly, I really don't think you're gonna need it. I'm really close to this thing.
Speaker 1: Detail looks tremendous at 97 inches. Of course it has L G's gallery design. That means it's gonna be really thin and hug the wall wall mounted here. It really does not stick out that far. [00:02:00] It's gonna be a very heavy panel. LG has it head exactly how much it weighs, but you're gonna have to get this thing professionally mounted, no big deal. If you can afford this, you can afford a pro. You might as well get it to calibrated too, but long story short LGS, 97 inch G two OED is the largest on the market to compete against the very largest, uh, LCD TVs out there. Heck maybe even compete against the projector. That's a look at the LG 97 inch Ole TV, G2 I'm David Kas Meyer from CNET.
