DJI Mavic 2 Pro, Mavic 2 Zoom up the ante on folding drones

If you've been waiting for a more powerful folding camera drone from market leader DJI, that time has arrived. The Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom are full updates to the company's two-year-old camera drone and are filled with new tech and two different camera options. The Maverick twos are slightly larger this time around but still Compact and have folding arms and props. So they're ready for travel. But with the smooth flight performance that DJI is known for the pro and zoom bodies are the same in design and wait and have new electronic speed controllers and Motors. So they're much quieter than the original and with a more aerodynamic body and improved battery. They can hit a top speed of 44 miles per hour and fly for up to 31 minutes. And you'll be able to fly them from farther away too with their updated controller and OcuSync video transmission that will send 1080p video back to your phone from up to five miles away. The Maverick tools have cameras on all sides giving them amry directional sensing to help prevent collisions from the front rear bottom and even the sides when used with its intelligent shop modes, like helix and journey and the updated active track, which DJI says is drastically improved so that like the maverick air These can fly up over and under and around obstacles. The difference between the pro and zoom come down to the cameras. The $1249 Mavic 2 Zoom features a one over 2.3 inch 12 megapixel sensor with a 24 to 48 millimeter equivalent optical zoom. And a two times digital zoom to take you from 49 to 96 millimeters. The 1400 and $49 Pro camera has a 20 megapixel one inch sensor and is its first integrated camera built with partner Hasselblad who helped with lens definition image optimization and processing. As well as implementing Hasselblad's natural color solution. Each camera has unique shooting options such as the automated dolly zoom on the zoom and the 4k 10 bit HLG HDR video support on the pro. And DJI says a gimbal replacement service will be available if you want to swap cameras at a later time. Either way, though, you're getting a feature pack folding drone unlike anything available.
