CNET Top 5: Viral video ads

The commercials you LOVE to watch.

You know, for a TV advertiser, its considered a victory if you dont SKIP their commercial. They positively wet themselves when you go out of your way to WATCH one. Im B.C. with the Top 5 Viral Video Ads - ads youve gone out of your way to watch, MILLIONS of times - based on YouTube views and ranking by Business Insider. Get ready for the best time youll waste all day. #5 The T-Mobile Dance: 34M. Flash mobs are usually associated with some stupid pillow fight or something, but this one is an evolving dance revue on the main floor of the Liverpool train station. It reveals itself in waves until only about 3 people arent in on it and theyre pretty damned sure its a cover for an Al Qaeda attack, but theyre still enjoying it. And then its over, right on cue. #4 is Stunt cyclist Danny MacAskills 2009 commercial for Inspired Bicycles: 40M. Filmed around Endiburgh, Scotland, it elevates the stuff you normally swear at teens for doing into two wheeled ballet. I mean, Im pretty good on a bike but theres not way I could ever try that stuff, much to the relief of my urologist. #3 is newest one in our list, the VWs The Force commercial that ran in the last Super Bowl, and has run again some 42M times on YouTune. Its great because you dont really have any idea where its going until it gets there...and its got that John Williams score that I dont even want to KNOW how much VW paid to use! #2 is the perfect blend of three simple questions: Whats cute? Babies. Whats hip?: Rapping. What makes anything funny? Doing it on roller skates. BOOM. Welcome to the screwiest way to sell fussy French water. Evians done some 54M streams of this #1 should need no introduction. Hetero in its wording, homoerotic in its casting, its the Old Spice Guy. Just the *two* main variants of this spot have added up to over 56M streams, approaching the population of Italy. The guy who is indeed on a horse is Isaiah Mustafa, former college and NFL football player who most assuredly is not your man, ladies. I love these spots. Until he and Fabio do mano and mano en el bano...and then Im out. For more Top 5s like these, go to top5.cnet.com. Im Brian Cooley, thanks for watching.
