Tech gifts under $50
If you have a lot of geeks in the family but not a lot of green, there is still some exciting, affordable products out there.
I'm Donald Bell and this top five i'm counting down some of the best gift worthy gadgets that can be picked up for under $50, all pulled from CNET holiday gift guide.
Starting off at number five, a new keyboard.
I know it doesn't sound exciting but believe me advancements have been made in the world of keyboards.
For example, you've got the Logitech Multi-Device Keyboard.
One wireless bluetooth keyboard that can connect to your computer, your smartphone ir your tablet with a switch of the dial.
$49 and it even has a nice little groove to hold your tablet up.
And number four, the Belkin WeMo Lightswitch.
Great for anyone wanting to dip their toe into home automation.
This $49 replacement switch allows you to control, schedule and monitor any connected light or socket from your smartphone or tablet.
And when it's not being smart, it's just a cool looking switch.
At number three, new headphones.
You can't ever have too many, and the majority of us are making do with the garbage earbuds that came with our phone.
We have a bunch we recommend over on CNET's popular Best Cheap Headphones list, but the latest addition are the JVC carbon nanotubes.
For around $26, they deliver on both style and sound.
Coming in at number two, a bluetooth speaker.
None of the options under $50 sound amazing but a good cheap bluetooth speaker makes a great way to listen to music or podcasts in the kitchen or backyard.
One of the latest is the divoom voombox travel.
It's a sturdy water resistant speaker that costs around 40 bucks.
But my number one pick from CNET list are the best holiday tech, under $50, is the Streaming Dongle.
I know it's not just for the thrill of saying Streaming Dongle, though that's honestly pretty great.
Between the Google Chromecast, the Amazon Fire TV Stick and the Roku Streaming Stick, you have a bunch of great ways to crown more video into.
Into your TV.
So just go get you one.
So there you go.
Five great tech gifts for under fifty bucks.
