Sprint buys one-third of Tidal, Samsung will keep the Note brand

Sprint has bought into a third of Tidal, the celebrity owned streaming music service that offers high fidelity audio for its premium members.
As a result, Sprint subscribers will likely get access to exclusive perks outside of a normal membership.
The move looks to benefit both companies which trail significantly in their respective markets.
Despite its widespread popularity, it's been quite awhile since Google has updated its useful voice service.
The refresh brings along with it a major visual update as well as new streamline features like group texting and mms.
Google also says it's looking to evolve beyond simple SMS texting and may support the new RCS messaging protocol in the future.
And finally just days after Samsung closed the door on the Note 7 fiasco by disclosing just what went wrong with the devices themselves.
Word is that they'll be continuing the brand with the Note 8.
In an interview with CNET, Samsung's Mobile Chief said the recall shed light on how many loyal Note subscribers there were, and didn't want them to feel like the company was walking away from them.
There are also Legacy Note 7 users who are clamoring for an update, too.
And Samsung says the Note 8 will be an innovative and safer device.
